How we maintain editorial independence and integrity.

Editorial Independence

Oral Health Advisory's editorial content is produced independently of our commercial relationships. Affiliate relationships, advertising, and sponsorship arrangements do not influence which products we review, how we score them, or how we rank them.

Rankings are determined entirely by OHA scores, which are calculated from objective testing data and dentist assessment. There is no editorial override of scores. A product ranked first is ranked first because it scored highest — not because of any commercial arrangement.

Accuracy and Corrections

We are committed to factual accuracy. All claims about product performance are based on our own testing data or peer-reviewed clinical evidence. We do not publish manufacturer claims as facts without independent verification.

If you identify a factual error in our content, please contact us at editorial@oralhealthadvisory.org. We will investigate and correct errors promptly. Corrections are noted in the article with the date of correction.

Content Updates

All review articles display a "Last Updated" date. We review rankings every 6 months and update content when product formulations change, new competitors emerge, or new clinical evidence becomes available. The update date reflects the most recent substantive review, not minor editorial changes.

Sources and Evidence Standards

Clinical claims in our guides and reviews are supported by peer-reviewed evidence where available. We prioritise systematic reviews and meta-analyses over individual studies. We do not cite manufacturer-funded studies as primary evidence without noting the funding source.

Our advisory dentist reviews all clinical claims before publication.
